Mind Body Care: Neurofeedback and Integrative Therapies in Austin, Texas

Multiple Approaches, Thoughtfully Applied.

The Power of Personalized Neurotherapy

At Austin Biofeedback and EEG Neurofeedback Center, we use a range of neurofeedback, biofeedback, and neuromodulation approaches to support the brain and nervous system. But the most important factor is never the technology itself. It is how that technology is selected, applied, and refined for the person in the chair.

Because our clinicians are trained and experienced across multiple systems, we choose the approach that fits your brain rather than fitting your brain to a single method. Every training plan is designed by a licensed therapist holding BCIA board certification, and adjusted over time as your brain responds and your goals evolve.

We do not follow a fixed system. We design the system around you.

EEG Biofeedback

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a form of brain training that helps the brain learn to regulate itself more efficiently.

During training, sensors measure brainwave activity in real time and provide feedback that helps the brain shift toward more stable and balanced patterns.

At our center, neurofeedback is guided by QEEG brain mapping and informed by clinical expertise. We do not rely on a single kind of hardware/software system or standardized protocols.

Because we use multiple neurofeedback approaches, we are able to tailor training to your brain and adjust it over time based on your response. This allows for a more personalized and adaptive process that supports focus, emotional regulation, sleep, and overall nervous system balance.

Effective neurofeedback depends on how it is applied, not just the technology itself.

Quantitative EEG

Q-EEG Brain Mapping

QEEG brain mapping allows us to evaluate patterns of brain activity and how different areas of the brain are functioning together. At our center, each QEEG is carefully reviewed and interpreted by an experienced clinician. We do not rely on automated reports to guide care.

This analysis helps us identify patterns related to focus, anxiety, sleep, mood, and overall nervous system regulation. The information we gather is used to design a personalized training plan and adjust your care over time as your brain changes.

This is where clinical expertise makes the difference.

EMG Biofeedback

Muscle Retraining

EMG biofeedback, often called muscle retraining, is a method that helps you become aware of and change patterns of muscle tension that may be contributing to pain, stress, or inefficient movement.

Sensors placed on the skin measure muscle activity in real time, allowing you to see and learn how your body is responding beneath the surface. With guided training, the brain and body begin to shift these patterns, reducing chronic tension and improving coordination and control.

This approach is especially helpful when physical tension is part of the picture, such as jaw tension, neck and shoulder tightness, headaches, chronic pain, or stress-related muscle activation.

At our center, EMG biofeedback is often integrated with neurofeedback and other modalities to support both brain and body regulation, creating more lasting and comprehensive change.

Neuromodulation

PEMF & PBM

Neuromodulation uses light or electromagnetic energy to gently influence how the brain and body regulate and heal.

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy) works through low-level electromagnetic signals that can support circulation, reduce inflammation, and help the body shift out of chronic stress or pain patterns. PBM (Photobiomodulation) uses specific wavelengths of light to support brain and body function.

These therapies are non-invasive and often feel subtle, but they can be powerful when the nervous system is “stuck” or not responding as expected.

At Austin Biofeedback and EEG Neurofeedback Center, PEMF and PBM are used thoughtfully as part of a broader, individualized plan, often alongside neurofeedback and biofeedback, to support both brain and body regulation.

Autonomic Nervous System Regulation

HRV & Breath Work

HRV training helps the brain and body learn how to shift out of stress mode and into a more balanced, regulated state. Using real-time feedback, you can see how your nervous system responds as you practice specific breathing patterns. Over time, this helps improve flexibility in the autonomic nervous system, making it easier to recover from stress and maintain a calmer baseline.

Breath work plays a key role in this process. Small changes in breathing can quickly influence heart rate, nervous system activity, and overall regulation.

At Austin Biofeedback and EEG Neurofeedback Center, HRV training and breath work are often integrated with neurofeedback and other approaches to support deeper, more consistent nervous system stability.

Licensed Counselors

Therapy and Counseling Support

We offer therapy and one-on-one counseling with licensed clinicians to support emotional and psychological well-being.

This may include approaches such as solutions-focused therapy, along with tools like EFT and TFT when appropriate. These methods can help reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and support recovery from stress-related patterns.

At Austin Biofeedback and EEG Neurofeedback Center, therapy is often integrated with neurofeedback and biofeedback to address both the brain and the lived experience, creating a more complete and personalized approach to care.

Blood Flow and
Regulation
Training

Temperature and blood flow training helps the body learn how to shift out of stress-driven patterns and into a more relaxed, regulated state.

Using simple feedback, clients learn to increase circulation and reduce physiological reactivity. As blood flow improves, the nervous system can move more easily out of fight-or-flight and into a state of recovery.

This approach can be especially helpful for stress-related conditions such as migraines, tension patterns, and chronic reactivity.

At our center, these methods are often integrated with neurofeedback and other therapies to support more complete nervous system regulation.

Skin Conductance

Stress Reactivity Training

Skin conductance training helps you become aware of how your body responds to stress in real time and learn how to shift those patterns. Using gentle feedback, clients can see changes in physiological arousal and begin to regulate their response, reducing reactivity and improving emotional control.

This approach can be especially helpful for anxiety, chronic stress, and patterns where the nervous system tends to stay in a heightened state.

At Austin Biofeedback and EEG Neurofeedback Center, skin conductance training is often combined with HRV, neurofeedback, and other therapies to support more complete emotional and physiological regulation.
